10 Things I Learned Today

I had several interesting things happen to me today...but the most interesting of all was that my son Fernandito threw all over me at the mall.  And I mean all over me...his vomit was all over my hair, my neck, my shirt, my pants, in between my toes, it even went down my back.  The funniest thing of all was that I wasn't even mad at my poor, sick, baby, but if I would of had a gun I sure would have used it on my husband!  No!! I wouldn't have killed him, but I would have shot a few bullets at his feet to make him re-act a little faster.  Anyway, here are a few things I've learned today...

  1. Never EXPECT a man to KNOW what do.
  2. It doesn't matter how many times you tell a one year old "go w/ daddy"  they always and I mean always choose MOMMY!
  3. Always carry a full box of baby wipes, the bigger the better.
  4. Its a really good idea for Mom to carry an extra outfit in the diaper bag as well.
  5. You can't tell a kid to WAIT when they feel sick.
  6. Men will never learn to not mess with a women when they are in their period.
  7. The silent treatment is the best. :)
  8. Baby throw-up STINKS really bad!!
  9. Mall Cops can be very nice and compassionate...especially when they encounter a mother who has vomit all over herself, the floor that surrounds her, a crying baby and a husband who is just standing there.
  10. Always stay calm...even when a little person is throwing up on you!

How I organized my Pantry...

I'm actually embarrassed to share this with everyone...(whoever it is that reads this besides my husband...b/c I make him...ahuevo!)  I had a huge problem every time I needed to cook or find something in my pantry it was a total mess.  I really don't know how it got like this...I think it was mostly Fer's fault :)  Anyway this is how it looked....
Disgusting!!  Closer look just so you can get a better picture...

So, this is how I tackled the mess.
  1. I got everything out!
  2. I cleaned the shelves and re-did the shelf-paper
  3. I threw everything away that was either too old for me to remember when I bought it and a few things that we don't eat anymore.
  4. I organized everything in order of how often we use it. Ex. Cereal in the front...bc Fer eats everyday, extra glass cups on the top.
  5. I hung a shoe organizer on the door for small things that get lost behind big things....and I even labeled it! :)
  6. I added a 3 drawer caddy to hold paper plates, plastic cups, forks and spoons
So this is what it looks like now!

Well, I really hope my husband and I keep it this organized forever.  The only down side to having an organized pantry is that now we eat more, bc we know where everything is!  :) LOL

Fresa Con Crema?!?!?

I've decided that I need a separate space to post my "chismes" and "tonterias".  I want to keep Fernandito's Blog just about my little monster so here it is.  Hope you like it and if you don't "ni modo"!

First let me tell you why Fresa Con Crema
When I was in high school I started calling my friend Cinthya "Naca"...because she was! In return she gave me the nickname "Fresa" well I guess because I am a Fresa.  She became my roommate in college and when we got in each others nerves, we used our nicknames.  But, if you truly know me or if you end of following this blog for whatever reason, you will find out that I don't really act like a fresa...I mean I love to go "garachiar" on Friday or Saturday mornings ( a true fresa would never do this)!  Ok so now you know why "Fresa".  The "Con Crema" part comes from my Gordo...A.K.A. my husband Fer.  He always tells me "como le echas crema a tus tacos" which means that I like to exaggerate a little too much.
So I thought that would be a great title for my blog my nickname with a little of exaggeration.  Besides who doesn't like "Fresas con crema" in real life...so yummy!
